by Jeff Mason and Gabriella Borter ERIE, Pennsylvania -Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris on Monday slammed Donald Trump for his ominous comments about “the enemy within” the United States and threat to deploy the military domestically, in a renewed effort to paint her Republican opponent as a threat to democracy. In a rare move at her own campaign rally in the political swing state Pennsylvania, the U.S. vice president showed a clip of Trump, the former president, telling his supporters “those people are more dangerous – the enemy from within – than Russia.” Harris, 59, has recently pressed Trump to…

The civil lawsuits were filed a month after Combs was criminally charged for what prosecutors describe as a long-running scheme of sex trafficking and racketeering. Combs’ lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Monday. The rapper has denied wrongdoing in other civil cases against him and pleaded not guilty in his criminal case. The lawsuits were filed in New York federal court by anonymous plaintiffs, including one man…

by Mark John and Philip Blenkinsop LONDON – For Europe’s economy, the Nov. 5 U.S. election offers a “least bad” outcome of a challenging Kamala Harris presidency or a second encounter with Donald Trump which threatens to be yet more bruising than the first. On two key areas – trade policy and the sharing of rising security costs among NATO allies – Europe expects few favours from a Harris presidency which it sees as “Biden continuity”. Trump 2.0, on the other hand, presents multiple dangers: if he were to pull U.S. support for Ukraine, European governments would need to ramp…

By Abhirup Roy and Chris Kirkham SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – Tesla’s reveal of a robotaxi designed as a low-slung, two-seater, sporty coupe – quite the opposite of a typical taxi with room for several passengers and luggage – flummoxed investors and analysts. CEO Elon Musk served up the cool design for the prototype of the Tesla robotaxi, dubbed Cybercab, at a much-hyped event near Los Angeles late on Thursday. These will go into production some time in 2026 and cost less than $30,000 a pop, he said. But in true Musk style, he skipped over expectations of how a two-seater…
